Our Nightmare Renovation with
Landgate Custom Homes

In 2022 we hired Landgate Custom Homes (the Goepels – father and daughter team) to complete a full house renovation and expansion on our Short Hills NJ home.

  • Our project was 50% OVER budget, 50% OVER calendar, 50% BELOW expected quality
  • Steve and Ellie Goepel's finished product work is featured on this site.
  • Landgate committed to refunding us $25,000 for damaged White Oak flooring installed 6 weeks before HVAC – to date no payment has been received.
  • Landgate committed to replacing $8000 of Ipe lumber ruined by improper installation – to date no action has been taken
  • We offer this site as consumer protection for others after waiting over one year from occupancy for Landgate to resolve.
